Friday June 13th - Boston Suffolk County Torch Run, 3.4 miles
7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Run from Boston College to Boston University and the opening ceremonies of Special Olympics Massachusetts summer Games. Escort the Flame of Hope on the final leg of its journey as it enters Opening Ceremonies and officially marks the start of the 2009 Summer Games. UPDATE
This year's event raised approximately $10,000 for the Special Olympics. Middleton Police along with other local police departments Danvers, Topsfield, Wenham, Essex County Sheriffs Department joined forces to make this years event more prosperous than last years. We look forward to your participation next year and your support.
Drive
Convoy as Law Enforcement vehicles from every city and town in Massachusetts make their way to Games 2008. Drive your department's vehicles RIGHT into the heart of Special Olympics Massachusetts' annual summer Games at Harvard University. Stick around for the "Heroes for Heroes" show, VIP volunteer opportunities with deserving Special Olympics athletes, and Law Enforcement BBQ. $100 per vehicle.
